Our wiring kit is going to allow the back of our Subaru to replicate the back of our motor home's lighting signals. Roadmaster Universal Diode Wiring Kit Installation - 2009 Subaru Forester- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2009 Subaru Forester we're going to ve taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, Part Number RM-152. To help us with our insulation we're also going to be using the Pollak Six Pole Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket for the vehicle end, Part Number PK-11609. Our diodes are going to install behind our taillights and they're going to allow us to take the signal from our RV and transfer them to our existing lights on our Subaru, so everyone around us knows what's going on. Whether we have our taillights on, our turn signals or our brake lights.Now since our motor home has a combined lighting system which means that our brake lights and our turn signal is going to be the same bulb, on our Subaru we're wiring it up so that the brake and turn signals are going to be coming out of this bulb, but when we drive normally, the turn signal on our Subaru is still going to be that separate one. Now aside from protecting our vehicle making sure there's no back feeding, our diodes are going to have a big benefit opposed to a lot of other systems. We're not going to have any switches to flip. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Subaru Forester, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster diode seven wire to six wire Flexo-coil wiring kit, part number RM-15267. The importance of a diode kit is it's gonna allow our Subaru to accept the light signal from our RV, so it's gonna mirror it whenever we go down the road. Whenever we have our turn signal on or our brakes, it's gonna come through the RV and go to our Subaru, allowing all the other drivers to know exactly what we're doing so we can get down the road safely. Our diodes are gonna be permanently installed behind our taillights, so it's not gonna change the look of our car and it's not gonna affect daily driving. It's just gonna allow the signal to come in from our RV and go out to our taillight, but also have the factory signal come in and go out to our taillight when we're doing regular driving. Not only that, but it's gonna protect our vehicle and the RV from any kind of back feeding or short circuits so we don't have to worry about any damage.Along with our diodes, it's gonna come with all the wire and connectors necessary to get it in place, and a plug to mount on the front of our car, and the Flexo-coil that's gonna connect our car to our RV. more

Tow Ready Tail Light Isolating Diode System Installation - 2018 Subaru Forester- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Forester we're going to be taking at look at and showing you how to install the Tow Ready Taillight Isolating Diode System with Four Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number TR118821.Keep in mind you will a need a few parts to complete your flat test setup on your Forester. We'll need at baseplate, tow bar, wiring kit and a braking system. Our diode wiring kit is going to allow us to take our RV's turn, brake and taillight signals and convert them to a working signal that we can use on our car while we're going down the road. It's going to wire directly into our vehicle's electrical system and the diodes are not only going to protect our car from any kind of feedback from the RV, but it's going to protect the RV if any issues arise on the car side. The big benefit to this diode kit is the fact that once it's installed, we're not have to do anything beside hook it up. We're not going to have to worry about putting some of the magnetic lights on our car and running the wires from the front all the way to the back, worrying about scratching the paint along the side.Our wiring kit's going to give us a four pole flat trailer connector on the front of our car and it does included a dust cap to keep any kind of of dirt, debris and moisture out and prevent corrosion from building up. more

Roadmaster Diode 7 to 6 Wire Coil Kit Installation - 2016 Subaru Forester- Video
Today, in our 2016 Subaru Forester, we're going to be taking a look at installing the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo Coil Wiring Kit, part number RM-15267. Now here's what it looks like once it's installed. As you can see, with our Flexo Coil cable, it's going to allow you to extend your wire out to 8 feet and it's going to recoil back to about 15 inches in length. Now, this diode system is going to help protect your Subaru's electrical system from any kind of voltage spikes that may occur from your RV. It's going to be a separate system that's isolated and it's not going to allow anything to back-feed into your car's electrical system; it's going to work strictly on it's own with the diode kit and it's going to help combine your tail lights on your Subaru into a combined setup, instead of the separate turn signal, brake, and tail light signal that it comes with from the factory. Now, let's go ahead and show you how to install it. This will be our 7-way to 6-way Flexo Coil wiring, a little bit of wire loom, some zip ties, our diodes, a length of wire .. it's going to run from the front to the rear of our car ... more
